Description
Reiki is a Japanese word made of two parts: Rei-meaning universal Ki-meaning life energy. This alternative method of healing is based upon the Japanese belief that there is energy force in an around the body. This ancient healing method releases energy flows and allows the body to then heal itself. In order to maintain physical, emotional and spiritual health energy must flow freely through the seven chakras which are the main energy centers in a person’s body. Reiki practitioners believe that if those energy centers are blocked, the results are illness, weakness and pain.

Statistical studies show the following:
Reiki has been used in major clinics and hospitals as part of alternative healing practice, and doctors, dentists, nurses and other health professionals have been trained to use its gentle touch techniques as part of their practice.
