Description
Magnetic Therapy: The application of magnets to certain parts of the
body thus promoting and improving health through energy healing. There
are numerous theories as to why magnets work. Some studies have shown
magnets improving blood circulation while others point to its effect on
the nerves that carry pain messages.
Statistical studies show the following:
Though used extensively in Japan and officially recognized by their
ministry of health as a medical product, as well as other far east
countries, magnetic therapy is slowly gaining acceptance in the west. To
date there are a number of scientific studies that have been conducted
by reputable universities that have proven that effectiveness of
magnetic therapy. Some of the studies conducted were done in Tufts
University of Boston that proved that magnets alleviated pain caused by
fibromyalgia. Another study carried out by New York Medical College of
Vallhala showed that magnetic foot pads were effective in alleviating
numbness, tingling and pain associated with Diabetic Neuropathy.
Currently there are testimonial and scientific studies that point to the
fact that 80% of individuals with chronic pain of all sorts benefit from
the use of magnetic therapy.
Symptoms
Symptoms and conditions that have been effectively helped by Magnetic
therapy include: fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, carpal tunnel
syndrome, diabetic neuropathy, migraines, osteoarthritis, muscle spasms,
menstrual cramps, irritable bowel syndrome and certain sleep disorders.
Since magnetic therapy is also beneficial in increasing energy, and
restoring blood flow, carrying needed oxygen and nutrients to the
injured area, it is quite useful to athletes or anyone engage in a sport
activity. In addition many clients report magnetic products used in key
acupressure points are advantageous in weight loss by promoting appetite
suppression.

with a magnetic field such as pacemakers or insertion of pins or other
metallic implant should not use magnets.
